Girls in Years 5 and 6 entered the Young Historian Awards last term, a nationwide competition judged by academics at the Historical Association. Lucy and Grace in Year 6 entered under the category of Ancient Civilisations and produced pieces that included timelines, maps, source analysis, illustrations and key historical figures. Their entries focused on the Ancient Kingdom of Benin. Both girls have been recognised by the Historical Association for their pieces and been awarded ‘highly commendable’. Well done Lucy and Grace!
