On Wednesday, all girls in Key Stage 2 took part in a special live-streamed event from the British Museum, exploring the story of the Bayeux Tapestry and the events surrounding the Norman Conquest. The girls joined schools from across the country to learn from expert historians and engage with one of the most significant sources in medieval history, and deepen their understanding of the dramatic events of 1066. Their enthusiasm and historical curiosity helped to bring the story of the Bayeux Tapestry vividly to life beyond the classroom. We encourage all girls to try and see the Tapestry in person before it returns to France next summer!
