In support of their geography and history learning, Year 2 enjoyed an exciting visit to the Tower of London just before half-term. The trip brought to life their classroom topics, including London’s famous landmarks and the history of the Great Fire of London.

There were many highlights throughout the day, including a tour of the magnificent Crown Jewels and the opportunity to explore the historic White Tower. The girls also took part in an immersive workshop, during which an actor dressed as a woman from 1666 transported them back in time to discover how the Great Fire of London began and the events that followed.

We felt incredibly fortunate to have such a historically significant landmark on our doorstep, and it was a joy to see the girls enjoy the wonderful opportunity to explore it first-hand.
