On Wednesday morning, Year 3 delighted us with their very first Coffee Concert, featuring an impressive 24 performers. The girls demonstrated remarkable courage, resilience, and maturity as they shared the pieces they have been practising so diligently over the past few weeks.
The concert opened with a festive performance of Jingle Bells by the Preparatory String Group, showcasing excellent ensemble playing and collaboration. From there, the audience was treated to a series of extraordinary performances on piano, guitar, flute, cello, and violin, alongside some truly beautiful singing. Each performer displayed careful preparation, attention to timing, and expressive musicality.
It was a real privilege to hear the girls express themselves so confidently, whether through joyous singing and guitar playing or through original compositions that highlighted their creativity.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our inspirational and supportive music teachers and to the parents who helped the girls prepare for this special occasion. An extra special thank you to Miss Faber for her wonderful piano accompaniment and for her invaluable role in organising the concert.
I left feeling inspired and excited, knowing that Year 3 is brimming with enthusiastic young musicians who are making fantastic progress in their talents. Huge congratulations to all the girls involved!
