Today, Year 2 enjoyed a fantastic final day of the first half of the Autumn Term with a trip to the Tower of London!

We began the day with a super “Fire! Fire!” workshop all about the Great Fire of London. The children learned how the fire started and spread, and discovered the importance of historical sources, including the famous diary of Samuel Pepys.  After the workshop, everyone enjoyed lunch inside one of the towers – what a special place to eat!

In the afternoon, the girls took part in an exciting trail. They explored the White Tower, admired the sparkling Crown Jewels and met the famous ravens – which were definitely a favourite!

Next term, Year 2 will be learning even more about the Fire of London in their history lessons and they can’t wait to dazzle Mr Russell with all their new knowledge!
