This Tuesday marked the final Coffee Concert of the academic year, presented by our talented Year 4 musicians – and what a spectacular way to conclude the series.

The audience was treated to a delightful variety of performances, including piano, violin, guitar, voice, and harp. Impressively, several of the performers were relatively new to their instruments, though this was hardly apparent given the confidence and musicality with which they played. Each pupil took to the stage with poise and skill, their hard work and dedication shining throughout every performance.

The programme featured a wonderfully balanced mix of repertoire – from classical works by Beethoven and Mozart to popular favourites by Michael Jackson and Taylor Swift – making for an engaging and memorable morning of music. This variety truly showcased the breadth of talent and commitment among our Year 4 musicians.

To bring the concert to a close, all of Years 3 and 4 came together on stage to perform Butterfly Fly Away, accompanied by our Director of Music, Miss Houlder. It was a touching finale, embodying the spirit of collaboration and community that is so central to the musical life at Francis Holland Preparatory School.

Congratulations to all our performers, and sincere thanks to the parents whose continued encouragement and support play such a vital role in the girls’ musical development. We are already looking forward to seeing what next year will bring.
