On Friday 28th November, The Socratic Club hosted an interactive debating workshop for Year 5 girls, focusing on the art of structured argument and critical thinking. Through multiple activities, the girls learned how to express their ideas confidently and listen respectfully to opposing viewpoints. The session encouraged teamwork and sharpened reasoning skills with girls focusing on contemporary issues of debate such as ‘the budget’. By the end of the afternoon, the girls left inspired to explore further topical debating motions to carry on into their current affairs sessions.
