This week’s netball fixtures saw Year 4 and Year 6 girls take on Falkner House.
All of Year 4 played in their first fixture of the year, after half a term’s lessons. While Falkner House proved the stronger side on the day, the experience was an invaluable learning opportunity. The girls gained a much deeper understanding of the rules of netball within their first full fixture, as well as the value of resilience, determination and excellent sportswomanship when competing in fixtures. The match provided a fantastic starting point for identifying both strengths and areas for development.
On Thursday afternoon, our Year 6 team travelled to Battersea Park for an after-school fixture, where 11 girls competed across two matches. The girls delivered an outstanding performance, playing with skill, energy and teamwork throughout. The maturity of their skills and teamwork developed throughout Years 4 and 5, really shone through. Across both games, they scored an impressive 12 goals while conceding just 3, showcasing excellent attacking play and strong defensive work. A special congratulations goes to Gigi, who was voted Star Player by Falkner House. It was a superb team performance and a wonderful reflection of the girls’ hard work and commitment.
