On Thursday, Year 1 embarked on an unforgettable journey into the world of pirates, perfectly aligning with our Summer half-termly history topic. The girls participated in a captivating ‘Pirates’ workshop designed to deepen their understanding of pirate history, spanning from Ancient Egypt to the present day. This immersive experience offered a taste of the pirate’s life through a guided, hands-on exploration of The Golden Hinde. Led by enthusiastic costumed educators, the workshop involved handling replica objects and bringing history to life through engaging role-play activities. After the workshop the girls enjoyed a picnic in the sun with lots of fun and laughter.
