This week, Year 1 and 2 had a fantastic time on their Foresters trip, enjoying a day full of outdoor adventure and learning in the sunshine. Year 1 pupils, who have been learning about pirates in history this term, threw themselves into the theme – becoming pirates for the day, building their own ships from natural materials and searching the wood for ‘treasure’ to fill their treasure chests. Meanwhile, Year 2 took inspiration from their learning about Captain Scott’s expeditions, working together to build impressive shelters before setting off on a peaceful nature observation walk to explore and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. There were certainly lots of tired but happy girls by the end of the day!
