Years 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic day in the spring sunshine at Norbury Park last Friday, especially showing off all their forester skills to Mrs Dixon who joined them for the day. Year 1 started with an exciting minibeast hunt before building their own bug hotels, while Year 2 got creative making Worst Witch potions and carefully whittling wands to bring their ideas to life.
After enjoying delicious hot chocolate with marshmallows and digestives, Year 1 went on a nature walk and Year 2 acted out scenes from The Worst Witch. The girls showed fantastic collaboration, curiosity and creativity throughout the day.
Mrs Dixon said “The wide range of games and educational activities the girls embarked on throughout the day was impressive. Everything from tree climbing to storytelling; from bug hunting to tree identification; from teamwork to leadership skills – so much was achieved in such wonderful sunny weather!”
