On Monday, Year 6 presented an abridged interpretation of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ to enthralled parents and Year 5. This was the culmination of a six-week workshop where the pupils worked with professional practitioners from Shakespeare’s Globe into bringing this comedy of love and confusion to life for our audience. Concurrently, Year 6 has been studying this classic play from an analytical standpoint as part of their English curriculum, so the depth of understanding, combined with their theatrical prowess, resulted in a delightful morning for all attendees!
