Last Thursday morning, Year 6 delivered an impressive Class Assembly.
This half term, the girls divided into five groups to research Amazonian tribes. Each group independently chose a specific tribe and research angle, such as diet, music, or animals, and worked voraciously to gather information. This research provided context for their class text, Journey to the River Sea, which is set in Brazil and features native tribes. The girls’ presentations were all professionally and confidently delivered, with carefully curated slides and cue cards. They even included questions to test their parents’ knowledge! Following their presentations, the girls amazed us even further with traditional Brazilian tribal music using drums and maracas, which they performed perfectly without any help from their teachers.
