On Tuesday, Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful day out at Kew Gardens! The weather was in our favour, and the girls had a lovely time exploring in the sunshine.
The highlight of the day was a brilliant workshop focused on ‘Maths in the Outdoors’. The girls impressed us with their mathematical skills, using trundle wheels and metre sticks to measure distances, identifying 2D shapes in the environment, and using timers to record seconds.
As well as a very busy workshop, the girls spent the rest of the day exploring the grounds and completing a nature scavenger hunt. We managed to spot birds, insects, beautiful flowers, and much more! It was a fantastic day of learning and discovery.
A huge thank you to our parent volunteers for joining us and for all your support. It was so appreciated!
