This week, Reception and Year 1 parents gathered for the first charity breakfast of the year in support of School in a Bag. School in a Bag is a remarkable organisation that provides children living in poverty and disaster-affected areas with essential educational resources packed into a brightly coloured school bag. Each bag contains items such as stationery, learning materials, hygiene products, and a lunch box. These items empower children to access education and build brighter futures.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious spread of pastries and pancakes with maple syrup, bacon, and chocolate sauce! Altogether, we raised an impressive £820.
This is the very start of our fundraising efforts this term, with the International Cookie Sale and Carol Singing to follow. We plan for the girls to take part in our first big ‘bag pack’ in January – the more we raise, the more we pack.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to this event.
