Last Friday afternoon we filled the playground with sunshine, colour, music, laughter and the smell of the most authentic pizza for our first Prep School Summer Party!
The girls arrived at school that morning in their summer outfits, ready for a party! There was a buzz of excitement around the school all day with the younger girls making and preparing their very own flower crowns to wear. Luckily for us, there was no doubt that the weather was going to hold out and it was going to be a beautiful afternoon.
From 3.30pm the queues began as the girls were keen to enter as soon as possible! Once inside, they delighted in some exciting inflatables, a huge bouncy castle, ring toss, hook a duck, craft, lucky dip, a stall for second-hand books and toys and, of course, one of the favourites, the teacher soak!
Parents mingled, as the girls flocked to the karaoke room and the entertainer in the hall which was, by all accounts, very impressive indeed. And as always, Miss Houlder treated us to her amazing voice and a number of parents even enjoyed some dancing!
This event would not be possible without the army of helpers that come together each year and for this we are all so grateful. This year the team was ably led by Mrs Stephany Brewer. Thank you to her and the whole team!
