From the moment the doors to Claridge’s Ballroom opened, the celebrations began. As the evening unfolded it quickly became apparent that we were set for a stunning evening of delicious food, complementary wines and the warm vibrant atmosphere that Francis Holland is renowned for. And most of all, no one had forgotten the key reason we had come together – to raise money for the all-important remodelling of the school playground.
First up it was a game of heads and tails, it was a tight contest, but the winner was a delighted Mrs Krupa who headed home with a magnum of champagne under her arm. Mrs Dixon’s speech had a celebratory tone as she reminded us of the magnificent first year as the Prep and just how much had been accomplished together.
It was then time for the live auction to start and soon the bidding became exciting and competitive, this all with the silent auction running alongside. Many thanks for all the generous donations of such superb variety.
After dinner and the auction had ended it was time to hit the dance floor as ‘High Heels On’ delighted us with some classics!
What a fantastic night it was. Huge thanks go to the auction committee which included:
