We are delighted to announce that Francis Holland Prep has been named Winner of the Best for Pastoral Care award in the prestigious The Week Magazine’s Best of the Best Prep Awards 2026, as well as being Winner of the Great City Prep award and Runner Up for the Great Teaching and Learning award.
The judges recognised how FHP offers pupils a “warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued, and happily run (or scoot!) into school each day”, as well as “high staff -to-pupil ratios, an integrated well-being programme and specialist-led personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education”, and dedicated pastoral staff, a professional counselling team and of course our lovely therapy dog, Kanga, all resulting in exceptional parent feedback “with 99 per cent reporting their child feels happy at school, with friendship support exceeding national benchmarks.”
The Week’s team have commented, ‘This is an immense achievement, we were inundated with submissions, so you should all be very proud’, as well as noting that no other school in living memory has won more than one category before. Wow!
This is the result of the combined work of many people – every pupil, every member of staff, every parent and every member of our wider Francis Holland Prep community – and we are incredibly grateful to every one of those people for their individual and collective contribution.
Thank you so much to The Week and their esteemed panel of judges for recognising what make our FHP community so unique, and congratulations to all the other winners and runners up!
