The Year 4 classes both recently visited a local care home to sing to the residents, filling the rooms with music, smiles and festive cheer. The girls performed beautifully and made a truly heart-warming impact. A few of the elderly residents commented on how uplifting it was to have young voices and friendly faces brighten their day. It was such a valuable life-learning experience for our pupils, helping them to appreciate the importance of kindness, community and connecting with different generations. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented our School and very grateful to TimeGivers for allowing us to go on these volunteering trips!

“When we went to the care home, the feelings we felt were so incredible! TimeGivers helps elderly people, and they are always glad to see younger people. One man was able to express his feelings very well and told us how happy he felt. We sang lots of Christmas carols and it felt very good! It was wonderful to feel that we were giving time to elderly people. We all loved it so much.” Annabel, 4C Form Captain
“This week TimeGivers gave us the opportunity to sing carols. The people in the care home enjoyed it and had a great time. Some of them even sang along with us. Overall, we really enjoyed spending the afternoon with the elderly people.” Hope, 4J Form Captain
