The Year 3 and 4 Francis Holland Foresters thoroughly enjoyed their recent trip to Norbury Park. The autumnal surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for an action-packed day of adventure and learning. The girls embarked on a nature identification walk, where they explored the beautiful woods and identified various plants and trees. The girls had to assume the role of nature detectives, using their observation skills to spot hidden treasures in the forest.
The next task equipped the girls with a pair of scissors and ball of string. Teams worked creatively to design and build their very own assault course in the woods. This activity was all about problem-solving, collaboration, and teamwork. The girls had to think creatively, communicate effectively, and work together to overcome obstacles. The finished courses were impressive, and the girls had a fantastic time navigating each other’s creations. It was wonderful to see them connecting with nature and having so much fun while learning and growing together. A successful day in the forest, with girls already looking forward to the next trip in the Spring Term.
Mr Russell, Chief Forester
